Crystal Star provides online English language education services, including live video lessons, learning materials, and related educational content. Our services are designed for students of various age groups and proficiency levels. We provide educational services, and while we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access our services, you must create a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Parents or guardians are responsible for the actions of their children while using our platform. Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to create an account.

4. Payment and Packages

Packages are purchased in advance according to the selected plan. Payment methods will be specified on our website. We reserve the right to change our package fees or billing methods.

4.1 Package Options:

  • Crystal Star offers various package options for individual classes.
  • Access to our services requires a package to be purchased, with prices and payment terms as posted on our website, which may be updated periodically. By purchasing, you agree to these terms.

4.2 Lesson Scheduling and Usage:

  • Users can schedule lessons within their package period, according to our terms.
  • If a user exceeds the allotment, the user is required to purchase another package.
  • Unused lessons at the end of a package period are forfeited.

4.3 Unused Lessons:

  • Unused lessons expire at the end of the package period and do not carry over.
  • Crystal Star may, at its discretion, allow users to retain unused lessons for a limited time.

4.4 Discounts and Promotions:

  • Crystal Star may offer discounts and promotions, with terms and conditions posted on our platform.
  • We can modify or terminate promotions at our discretion, with notice provided to users.
  • Discount codes may be provided for limited-time use.

4.5 Payment Processing:

  • Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, and users are subject to their terms.
  • Electronic receipts are provided via email or user account.

4.6 Refunds:

  • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

4.7 Refund Calculations:

  • For packages with no lessons used or first-time cancellations within 14 days, refunds are based on the number of lessons remaining.
  • Refunds will not exceed the original package purchase price.

4.8 Refund Processing:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within five business days, subject to the third-party payment processor’s timelines.

4.9 Payment Obligations:

  • Users must make timely payments to ensure uninterrupted service.

5. Lesson Scheduling and Attendance

Lessons can be scheduled and rescheduled according to the procedures outlined on our platform. Cancellations must be made more than 8 hours before the class starts. Missed lessons may result in forfeiture of the lesson. In the event of teacher absence, we will provide a replacement lesson or other suitable arrangement.

6. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Crystal Star, including lesson materials, videos, and other educational content, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without our express written permission. Student-created content, as part of lessons, may be used for educational purposes by Crystal Star.

7. Additional Clauses Regarding Video lessons

  • Students and parents acknowledge that video and audio recordings of lessons will be made.
  • These recordings are used for educational purposes, and quality control.
  • Crystal star reserves the right to use these recordings for teacher training purposes.
  • Students and parents agree to ensure an appropriate learning environment when attending online lessons.
  • Any inappropriate recording or use of video or audio during lessons is prohibited.

8. User Conduct

You agree to conduct yourself respectfully and appropriately during lessons and on our platform. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited. Communication between teachers and students must be professional and related to educational purposes. Violations of these guidelines may result in account termination.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Crystal Star provides its services “as is” and without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for any technical issues that may arise.

10. Limitation of Liability

Crystal Star shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our maximum liability shall be limited to the amount you have paid for our services.

11. Termination

We may terminate your account for violations of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your access to our services will cease, and we will retain your data according to our Privacy Policy.
